Welcome!  Salvete!

6/04/00  Just some minor tweaks for the next few months.  The unit on the poetry of Catullus is on line, and I fixed the Roman Numeral page with some minor updates.  I am going to make the Roman History 7th grade Internet research a Web Quest later in the summer.  It is the beginning of summer, so I just want to tie up some loose ends.  I hope that you all had a good time learning Latin.  You have made me very proud of you.  I wish all of you best of luck next year.  Have a great summer.

5/11/00 - This just in.  I added the 6th grade review sheet with links for the verb tenses and the play on the Aeneid (in case you have misplaced your copy).  The Roman History on the Internet thing is online (actually, I put it on back in February.  I plan on updating it with all the new links I have discovered.

4/08/00 - Last UPDATE.   I plan on having the images for architecture up here soon along with the rubric.  The Roman history questions are here already.  Also, I will be posting the script soon for the 6th grade.  There are a few minor adjustments I need to make before I release it to the public (like adding stage directions, the Jerry Springer addition, and all the changes that you have added that make it so funny and entertaining).

Rant of the Week.  This week:  Life Lessons (My Chapel from February)

It was suggested to me that I provide a link to the Academy of the Sacred Heart site from whence my class has its auspices.  The school news is updated and posted weekly under Upcoming Events.   Click here to see Sacred Heart's web site.

LATEST UPDATE

2/10/00 - I added some practice questions for the 6th grade Aeneid test.  Click here to see them.

Click here to see a syllabus of what will be on the National Latin Exam.   There are some practice exams online, as well, if you click here.  Try one and give it to me to grade.  The link is here.

Today (2/8/00) I added all the past assignments for 6th grade, a page on the Aeneid with great links,  and the pages for 2nd conjugation verbs and imperatives.   I also added the Roman History assignment that 7-1 and 7-3 did.  It may help 7-2 and 7-4 to look at this ahead of time.  The pages for the corresponding grammar and notes are coming soon.  This takes time.  Please be patient and check back soon.  Tired of looking at Mt. Olympus?  I am looking for a new picture.  Give me your input.

Today (2/7/00) I added some pages which I plan on updating before the end of this week.  I did the page on Perfect Tense for the 7th grade, and I am researching sites to link for a 6th grade page on the Aeneid.  Because of the use of technology, I will be updating this less frequently because we now will be using thehomeworksite.com (which you have to access through the Sacred Heart home page), and I will be posting the homework there from now on.  The 7th grade has a test next week sometime on all the stuff we have learned recently.  6th grade will have a test on the Aeneid before Mardi Gras, so 6-1 will have the first test on Book I soon depending on the test schedule.    Let me know what you need, and I will add it.  Don't just go away.  I don't know if you use this if you don't tell me.  Please sign the guestbook or write some e-mail.

Want to know what's new?  Click on Mount Olympus above for the latest updates.

Make sure you read the updates (which you can see by clicking on the picture above) to see if what you need is even here.  There are two ways to provide feedback (of course, I hope most of it will be positive).  One way is to write me an e-mail.  You can click here to send e-mail if your e-mail allows that or if you have hotmail, yahoo mail, or the like, you can write to latinfreak@mailexcite.com.   And, this is the really important part - you have to give your name.  No anonymous messages, please.    Just be considerate.  The second way is to sign the Guest book.  Real simple.  Just fill out the form and submit.  Again, make sure you sign your name.  You can get to the Guest Book by scrolling down this page.
