this poem. In black
ink, write out the Latin of the poem. Look
up each word in the glossary that you were given, and write the definition above

the sparrow's point of view. As you
could see, Lesbia loves the little bird - make sure that you express the bird's
affection for her. Describe how it
feels when the bird realizes that it must die and leave her. or

sure that the woman is in a typical Roman setting like a garden or atrium.
TONE
Although
Catullus deals with death in both poems, the tone of the two poems is very
different. The tone of a
poem deals with the attitude that the author or speaker is trying to convey.
What do you think is the major difference in the way Catullus deals with
